AmauriIt seems that the whole nationality saga around Amauri is soon set to conclude. The Juventus striker, according to what Figc revealed, will soon receive the ok to become an Italian citizen. Once he becomes an Italian citizen he will be able to play in the World Cup for the Italian national team.

It is said that Italy coach Marcelo Lippi has been waiting for this moment for quite sometime as he believes that he should try out Amauri. He considers Amauri as a very valid striker but should he select Amauri for the World Cup many Italians would question Lippi’s choice. In the last few months other players such as Pazzini and Toni spoke against Amauri playing for the national team since they consider him a Brazilian. The believe that only Italians should play for Italy.
