Diego Armando Maradona LavezziArgentina coach, Diego Armando Maradona, spoke about his latest call-ups to the World Cup squad “I am very sorry for the ‘Pocho’ Lavezzi. He would have reacted with insults, in the same identical way I had reacted in 1978 when I was left out of the Argentina World Cup squad by then coach, Cesar Luis Menotti. I know exactly what the excluded players feel. Today we start to play the World Cup.”

Lavezzi’s exclusion was unexpected, especially after last week’s comments by Maradona. Maradona had said that Lavezzi has a place in his squad as he may play both as a striker and as a winger.

Do you think that Lavezzi should have been included in the Argentinian World Cup Squad?
