A surprising move by Birmingham as it Charles N’Zogbia was a done deal for them. Birmingham agreed to pay 10 million sterling to Wigan for the French player but the deal fell through due to N’Zogbia’s salary demands. This is a blow for the player as it will leave him in a difficult situation at Wigan after he had requested a move just a few weeks ago.
Wigan coach, Roberto Martinez, commented about the missed move stating that it will be difficult for N’Zogbia to get back into the team as he will need to convince him that he wants to play for Wigan.
