Tottenham have stated on their official website the signing of evergreen goalkeeper Brad Friedel. The 40 year old American keeper has made another important step in his career as he is moving to a side that has Champions League ambitions.

Tottenham will be Friedel’s fourth English club as he has already played for Liverpool, Blackburn and Aston Villa. After a shaky start in the Premier League at Liverpool his performances kept improving. They improved so much that even Liverpool were interested in re-signing him now. It was very clear that Friedel would have several admirers this season as his contract with Aston Villa expired. On the other hand Tottenham coach, Redknapp, will be very happy with Friedal’s signing especially after the recent blunders of Gomez.
