Phil BrownHull City AFC announced on the Hull’s official website that Phil Brown has been sacked. Brian Horton and Steve Parkin will manage the squad until further notice.

“I’am sad and disappointed” said Phil Brown. He continued “I am sad but at the same time very proud about the work I have done during my stay: I left this squad in the most prestigous position ever for the first time in 104 years of history. However I thank everyone, strting off from the players moving on to my staff and the supporters, to whom I wish a lot of success.” The Tigers stand 19th in the Premiership in the Premier League after the latest home defeat against Arsenal. In the meantime, Bradford’s coach, Peter Taylor has waived off rumours that he way takeover the position left vacant by Brown. Peter Taylor said “I am proud that I was linked to the job, but I am not a candidate.”

Nonetheless Brown’s firing he will always be remembered at Hull for being the first coach in 104 years to guide Hull City to the Premiership. Brown managed to achieve such success even though he didn’t have any transfer warchest.
