Nikola ZigicBirmingham have officialized the signing of Nikola Zigic. Nikola Zigic joined Birmingham from Spanish club Valencia. The Serbian international striker leaves Valencia after 3 seasons. The 29 year old cost Birmingham a fee of around 7 million euros.

Nikola Zigic kick started his career in his homeland at Backa Topola were he put on display his goalscoring abilities with 68 goals in only 76 matches. After 3 seasons he moved on to Mornar Bar, Kolubara Lazarevac and Spartak Subotica. In 2003 he moved to Serbian giants, Red Star, were he scored 47 goals in 79 games. During his time at Red Star he obtained his first cap with the Serbian international team. In 2006 he moved to Spain, more specifically Racing Santander. After a successful season at Santander he moved toValencia were he spent 3 reasons apart from a 6 month loan spell in 2009 at Racing Santander.
