Barzagli set to join Juventus thumbnail

Andrea Barzagli is set to join Juventus in this transfer window. His current contract with Wolfsburg is set to expire in summer but his agent is currently in discussions with the club to cancel his current contract. Therefore Juventus would be able to sign him on a free transfer. Such a move would mean that Nicola Legrottaglie would be allowed to leave.

Andrea Barzagli has been linked to Juventus for quite some time but it seems that this time the deal will happen. Barzagli is very eager to move back to Italy. Whilst in Germany he won the German Bundesliga with Wolfsburg. Barzagli is considered as one of the best Italian centre-backs in circulation. He formed part of the 2006 Italy squad that won the World Cup. At Juventus he will have to compete for playing time as he will be facing tough competition from Chiellini and Bonucci.
