Adebayor set to return to Monaco thumbnail

Since joining Manchester City, Adebayor has constantly been linked with moves to other clubs. Last summer a move to Juventus was very close but the deal didn’t happen as Juventus could only sign one non-EU player, who was Krasic. It appears that Juventus are still interested in him but such a move can only happen next summer. Adebayor doesn’t want to spend another six months with little playing time therefore he is considering other opportunities.

It seems that Adebayor’s former club, Monaco, are interested in signing him. Their first approach was for a six month loan that was immediately rejected by the Manchester City board. Manchester City will only let Adebayor leave on a permanent basis therefore it has been reported that Monaco made a 12 million euro offer to secure the services of their former player. It still has to be seen if Manchester City will accept such an offer as they had paid 25 million sterling to price Adebayor away from Arsenal.
