Paolo Cannavaro staying at Napoli thumbnail

Napoli are enjoying a great season as they are second in Serie A, only three points behind current leaders AC Milan. Such a feat has boosted all of Napoli but now they will have another reason to cheer for as their captain Paolo Cannavaro has renewed his contract. His old contract was going to expire next summer therefore there were some rumours stating that he would leave Napoli. His commitment to Napoli will definitely give a boost to the Napoli squad. This new contract will expire in 2015 when he will be 34 years old.

Paolo Cannavaro was born in Naples but started his professional football career at Parma with his older brother Fabio Cannavaro. Since then he moved to Napoli and became a key player. He joined Napoli in 2006 when they were in Serie B. He helped them get promoted to Serie A, qualify to a European competition and now challenge for the Serie A too. He is loved by Napoli fans for hs love and commitment towards the club.
