Juan set to move back to Germany thumbnail

It appears that Roma and Brazil central defender, Juan, is set to return to the German Bundesliga in the summer. Juan joined Roma in 2007 from German side Bayer Leverkusen. He was an instant hit with the Roma fans as he delighted them with his perfect time tackling. Since joining Roma he was also unlucky as he missed several games through injury. This season his performances have dipped as his shaky defending lost Roma some important points. Due to his recent negative form he has been linked with a move away from Roma. It has been reported that Bundesliga sides Werder Bremen and Hamburg are very keen on signing the Brazilian International. Roma may decide to let him go as they have two quality central defenders in Mexes and Burdisso.

Juan was born in 1979. He started his professional career with Brazilian side Flamengo. In 2002 he moved to Europe to join Bayern Leverkusen. He spent five seasons in Germany. In 2007 he joined Italian side AS Roma. Juan played 79 games and scored 7 goals for Brazil.
