It appears that Palermo and Argentina star, Javier Pastore, is set to leave Sicily next summer. When he joined Palermo he was touted as a future star but since then he has actually affirmed himself as a star at Palermo. His performances for the Sicilian club have also attracted the attention of some of the world’s biggest clubs such as Barcelona and Real Madrid. Pastore didn’t let such rumours get to his head and kept on performing very well for Palermo. In recent weeks an interest by Juventus has also been reported.

Pastore declared that he would prefer to join Juventus rather than Real Madrid and Barcelona for two reasons. The first reason is playing time; he doesn’t want to join a team to warm the bench. He knows that at Juventus he would be considered as a key player. The second reason is his family roots that are founded in the Piemonte region not far from Turin. It still has to be seen if Juventus will have the funds to sign him as Palermo president, Zamparini, is asking for 100 million euros to sell his prized asset.
