Andrea Pirlo set to leave AC Milan thumbnail

It is being reported that AC Milan and Italy star, Andrea Pirlo, is set to leave the Milan based side in summer. Pirlo contract with Milan expires this summer as he still hasn’t renewed his contract. AC Milan have already made him an offer but he considers it insufficient. At 32 years of age the next contract will definitely be his last one therefore he wants to monetize it as much as possible. AC Milan have decided not to increase their offer therefore Pirlo will have to take a decision. It appears that Pirlo favours a move away from Milan both for monetary reasons and for a new challenge.

Pirlo is still considered as one of the world’s best playmakers therefore several clubs are interested in signing him. It has been reported that Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona are interested in his services but in recent days Juventus have also been mentioned to be interested in him. They are considering him as a quality and cheap alternative to Alberto Aquilani. Juventus have to pay Liverpool 16 million euros to buy the Italian midfielder whilst Pirlo would join them on a free transfer.
