Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg have retained their title after a 2-0 win against Sturm Graz on the 36th day of the league. This is Red Bull Salzburg’s third championship in the last four years and their sixth ever league title ever. This is the first title ever for their Dutch coach Huub Stevens.

This is the perfect finish to Red Bull Salzburg’s season. They have already enjoyed a great run in Europa League in which they managed to beat teams much more quoted than themselves such as Lazio and Villareal. After this title Red Bull Salzburg will definitely strengthen the squad in view of next year’s Champions League qualifiers. They will definitely want to make it to the Champions League after just missing out on it for the last few years.

Red Bull Salzburg merited their title as this season they played more as a team and depended less on their star striker Marc Janko.
