After recent rumors of Blackburn Rovers being interested in Man City striker Benjani Mwaruwari (31) it has been revealed that Wolverhampton are also interested in the Zimbabwe striker. His current contract with Manchester City will expire this summer but at present he is on loan at Sunderland till then.

A move to Wolves might be his best option to re-launch his Premiership career. He started his Premiership career in 2006 when he had joined Portsmouth from French side Auxerre. At Portsmouth he spent two years. In 2008 he joined Manchester City, since then he ahsn’t enjoyed any successful spells. In January 2010 he joined the Black Cats on loan for the rest of the season. Although he thought that he would get more first team action at Sunderland he was wrong.
