Sidney GovouLyon’s match against Le Mans is going to be last match for Sidney Govou (30) with their white shirt. Govou announced the news himself during a press conference. He said the following “I have spent ten years at Lyon, here I have met a lot of persons and for me it will always be a special place. My adventure here will finish on Sunday and I don’t know yet where I will go. My preference is a move to England.” The striker will let his contract expire, he will become a free agent on the 1st of July.

Sidney Govou is a French versatile player that plays both as a right winger and as a striker. He is a product of Lyon’s youth program as he had joined them at the young age of 17. In 1999 at the young age of 20 he broke into the first team and since than never looked back. As the years passed by he became a fan favourite at Lyon. Since his debut he played 387 games and scored 80 goals for Lyon. Sidney Govou is also a French international since 2002. He played 43 games and scored 10 goals for Les Bleus.
