Wayne Rooney's Season is OverFollowing Man Utd’s win over Tottenham on Saturday, Sir Alex Ferguson said that Wayne Rooney‘s season is most probably over due to his current groin injury. Although he was considered an indispensable player for Manchester United, his team mates managed to win a vital game against Tottenham which propels them to the top of the English Premier League, with just two games remaining.

Rooney is well know for his extremely fast recoveries from injuries, but given the World Cup is around the corner, we’re expecting Ferguson to be extra cautious with England’s best striker at the moment. Let’s not forget that even before the recent Champions League game against Bayern Munich, Ferguson said Rooney will have no chance to make and then he passed a late fitness test to play.

England’s chances of succeeding at this year’s World Cup do rely heavily on Rooney and will be a shame if he misses out this major event. His current injury is indeed minor and an early rest from competitive football am sure was well greeted by Fabio Capello and the England camp.

Man Utd do struggle more without Rooney, but if they are crowned English Premier League champions without their best striker will be even a greater achievement. In fact in Rooney’s absence, we’re seeing other players come into the limelight as was Nani once again against Tottenham. Will United manage to be crowned English Champions for an unprecedented 4th successive year? This year is definitely one of the most fought titles!
