Gary Cahill“If a big club contacts me, it would be realistic for me to leave for my own good and for Bolton’s good”. The central defender, Gary Cahill (25), spoke to ‘Bolton News’ and opened doors to a move to Liverpool or any other club that would allow him make a jump in quality. He said “This doesn’t mean that I want to leave the club that has done a lot for me. I also grew thanks to the squad but every player is ambitious. It will certainly depend on how much a club would be ready to offer for me: until that happens, I am very happy to stay here.”

Gary Cahill is an English defender from Sheffield. He started his football career at AFC Dronfield until moving to Aston Villa at the age of 15. After four years with the youth team he moved on to the senior squad. He was on Villa’s books for 4 years, 2 of which he spent on loan at Burnley and Sheffield United. In 2008 Cahill moved to Bolton Wanderers on a permanent basis. Since joining Bolton, Cahill put on display some great performances which put him on Fabio Capello’s radar. Cahill was capped 4 times for England U20 and 1 time for England U21.
