2010 UEFA Champions League FinalA high profile spectator of this year’s Champions League Final is Sir Alex Ferguson. It will be strange for him to watch the Champions League final at home as he spent the last two finals on the bench guiding Manchester United to a gold and silver medal. Even though he won’t be sitting on the bench at Bernabau he still commented about the final. He started off by praising Inter after they knocked out Barcelona “Inter was brilliant, they were well organized on the pitch and I couldn’t imagine them getting knocked out. Cambiasso closed all the spaces. When we played against Barcelona two years ago they hadn’t obtained and big chances. I am convinced that there is a method to beat them.”

Lately Ferguson has also spoken about Manchester United’s experience in this year’s Champion’s League. He believes that Manchester United were very unlucky to get eliminated by Bayern Munich and moaned that they should be in the final instead of the Germans. He also hailed the performance of several of his players such as Darren Fletcher, Nani, Darron Gibson, Jonny Evans and Antonio Valencia.  In his opinion they all made a name for themselves this season and will continue to grow at Manchester in the coming seasons.
