Champions League: Tottenham trash Serie A leaders thumbnail

Tottenham trash current Italian Serie A leaders, AC Milan at their own ground. It was a game which showcased the lack of quality in the Italian league overall. AC Milan where playing at home, were outclassed in the first half and although they tried to hit back in the second hand, it was only Tottenham who managed to find the winning score in injury team. It was a great run by Lennon who found Crouch unmarked to put the ball in the net.

Tottenham keeper Heurelho Gomes did need to keep AC Milan at bay with two great saves, before Aaron Lennon broke to feed Peter Crouch for a trademark counter attacking goal that gives Harry Redknapp’s side a precious away goal to take into the second-leg.

The game also ended in shame when Gattuso even attacked the forth official. Gatusso will probably get some sort of punishment for that but it can’t hide the fact the Spurs have bagged a famous win tonight. Tottenham will be playing the next leg of this Champions League game at home and their away goal will be a huge advantage for them.
